Our story
A creative soul from South Auckland, Laura McGill began her journey over 20 years ago, crafting and building a home-based business from the ground up. What started as a personal passion soon became a livelihood—channeled into creating and selling handmade crafts through her website and local markets. With a deep love for detail and a knack for digital precision, Laura has become a master engraver and laser cutter, turning ordinary materials into extraordinary keepsakes.
Social worker by heart, market coordinator by day, and steampunk jewellery artisan by passion, Emma Betts brings a distinct blend of vintage elegance and contemporary edge to every piece she creates. Known for her intricate designs over the last 6 years, Emma weaves together brass, cogs, and Victorian charm—one gear at a time—infusing old-world romance with modern-day attitude.
What began as a collaboration soon sparked a shared vision. Together, they formed 2ndChance PromoPrint, where old-world aesthetics meet cutting-edge technology. Their pieces are more than accessories—they are wearable stories. From hand-assembled gears to laser-etched filigree, each creation captures a balance between tradition and innovation. Whether it’s bespoke jewellery or functional art, Laura and Emma’s combined talents craft a world where the past and future intertwine—one timeless piece at a time.
